stumbleupon

has anyone ever tried the website stumbleupon.com?? its pretty awesome use of/waste of time. you just type in things that interest you and the website goes across the internet and finds stuff like that for your viewing pleasure. then you can like it, dislike it, or just keep stumbling until you have spent three hours looking at weird stuff on the web. i LOVE it!

posterz

cool freedom of expression posters. some good graphic design

chatroulette!!

this is the weirdest/freakiest/coolest website i have encountered! you chat anonymously with people all around the globe, and if you dont like them you just disconnect and move on to the next person. there are really interesting people on there, a lot of nerds, horny guys, and weridos and it is the best use of wasting free times. beware if you are a girl, they look to ask you to "show em some titties" but it's funnier to just mess with them and then disconnect. Its like speed dating, only better....and a lot weirder haha

guerrillas love bananas

my fav type of advertising is guerrilla advertising. i just cant get over how cool transforming a regular environment into an advertisement, without being too pervasive, is. i personally find this type of advertising to be more effective because people find it interesting and actually want to see it and then later share it. pretty awesome...i hope to be able to do this type of advertising when im all grown up. here's a few of my favs...

ad for portable playstation. concept being that you can transfrom any environment into your game.

this is an ad for a british version of bleach and used existing street stains and put clothing around it to show their bleach could get the stain out.

amnesty ad promoting awareness of unfair punishments using the sewer as jail bars.

spiderman 2 ad using a urinal where only spiderman could get to to promote the movie.

awesome mcdonalds ambient ad using the light pole to look like pouring coffee. Mcdonalds has actually had quite a few pretty cool ambient ads out lately.

Ray Ban

Ray Ban has done really well with viral ad campaigns. They are really simple and fun and totally fit the tone of the brand. Here are a few of my favs but you should check out their youtube channel "neverhidefilms"

blind people can have fun too

i dont think this is real, but it is still funny. porn for the blind, braille nipples and all

Audrey Kawasaki

Audrey Kawasaki is a Japanese artist that I think is really amazing. She paints very delicate pieces, usually done on wood and recently has started tattooing her pieces as well. Really beautiful stuff. These are some of my favorites...

I just wanna dance!

A lot of people dont like Dane cook, but i still think he is funny as hell. This standup is so true to life and how people act around the opposite sex. I love when humor is funny cause it's true.

Spontaneous Dance

This is one of the most creative things I've seen. There are a million copycats out there, but this is the best. People breaking out into spontaneous dance, and being able to relate that back to sharing your life with your tmobile phone is really great

Bridging the Generation Gap

This is one of my fav commercials...Pepsi's refresh anthem. I love how it shows the two generations similarities and differences back to back.

Photography

This is an awesome photographer....Erik Johansson

Lady Gaga

I'm obsessed with eric northman from true blood and he looks real good in lady gaga's paparazzi video, except gaga is tryin to do a modern thriller with its absurd length. pushing the border between music video and short film. This bitch is crazy, but i have a new found love for her

infused drinks

infusing vodka with other flavors seems real cool to me. i found a few recipes....

skittle infused vodka- combining 6oz vodka with each different flavor of skittles, shake it up and let it sit for a few hours, then strain the vodka through a coffee filter, put each flavor in a flask and put in freezer overnight

jollyrancher infused vodka- same idea, but without the straining

also, cause i love halloween, i found this candy corn infused martini too..

num num num, monster food

i want to throw a grown-folks halloween dinner party just so i can make this yummy monster food. looks so fun!

"finger food" sugar cookies, dyed green, with almond fingernails
zombie cupcakes with oozing brain at the top!
scary cheese and crackers
meat appetizer plate wrapped around skull...tight
"mummy dogs" little hot dogs wrapped in biscuit to look like mummies.... soo cuteee

Pumkins!

Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday. I love love love it. So i decided to compile some cool pumpkin carvings that i found interesting, and a good pumpkin carving gallery called www.pumpkingutter.com

the cheeseburger one is pretty tight. although i think the only part that is actually the pumpkin is the bun, but none the less its still pretty creative.

Buddha Pears

I have always been interested in Asian culture, and i really like happy buddha sculptures. I own a few small buddha figurines, but i was really excited when i found this....

these are pears that have been molded into the shape of Buddha. I looked up how they did it and while the pear is growing the mold is put on to the fruit and then the pear starts to grow into the shape of the mold and then the mold is removed and it keeps growing in the same shape. They have also done this with square watermelons and i saw a picture of a pumpkin molded with a face in it. But i have a connection with my fav little figurine....BUDDHA! :)
